I recently discovered these guys on Aurgasm, so if you check out that music blog these guys will be nothing new to you. Nonetheless, Brown Bird's folky country style is a breath of fresh air. Their songs are reminiscent of a simpler time, before electric instruments and autotone. Hailing from New England, the band has all but perfected a sound they call 'Dark Americana.' Their newest release, The Devil Dancing is fun and exciting the whole way through. I'm particularly fond of The Bottom of the Barrel.
